Instagram post 2040074755679588957_176681624 We had a busy day yesterday—lots of time on the road. 😳 From celebrating our last MOPS meeting of the year to taking part in our first Tulip Time parade. Tulips, parades and celebrating the Dutch heritage of West Michigan. Check out that hair! 😊 #tuliptime2019

Instagram post 2035084656206275746_176681624 Grocery shopping. Can we chat about that a moment? It’s like the consistent place that inevitably as a mom of littles your fear sneaks up on you. The What If Fears.. What if someone takes my kid when I’m not looking? My son is running down the isle, what if he breaks something? The Self Defeating Fear — “I’m so bad at”...that starts small in your mind then escalated quickly. Meal planning, saving money, not spending money wisely. I gave my kids candy for breakfast—ack—I’m a horrible mother! Why does this always happen at the grocery store? Well if you’re thinking, yeah what can I do to overcome those thoughts...then hop over on the blog. This week I’m sharing How to Overcome Fear When It Won’t Go Away. {link in profile} Spoiler alert: we might talk about how 🕷 spiders, yes I said spiders 😬 can help us out! #fromfeartofreedomtour

I’m tired, but hopeful. I’ve taken somewhat of a sabbatical since February—and it’s been good and hard altogether. In the struggle God always refines me and this time He’s been helping me through of process of moving from fear to freedom—again. This isn’t the first time I’ve battled fear—and I’m sure it’s not the last. On Monday I’ll be sharing more about #howtoovercomefear when it won’t go away. #fromfeartofreedomtour
Instagram post 2013308931346412903_176681624 Don't let fear win. I have moments where I really feel the heaviness and the reality of fear...but like it says in 2 Corinthians 4:8–9, I am not letting fear win. "We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed." (ESV) What fear are you struggling with today? Today is a new day and there is hope and encouragement that you are not alone. ****Don't let fear win.*** If I can overcome. You can overcome too. And sweet mom, I'm not the only one who is overcoming. I've learned that the best way to learn and grow in my faith often is when others share their stories—and that is just what we are doing in the From Fear to Freedom Tour. It's 30 blog posts over the next 30 days that will give you first hand stories from others and what they are doing to overcome their fear. {link in the profile} #30daystobraveandbold #overcomingfear #fromfeartofreedomtour

Instagram post 1980026626175885868_176681624 “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.“ If you ever feel like you need God, but don’t know where to start—read this: This morning I was crying out to the Lord for His help. As a family, we’ve been through a lot of changes over the past three years and as a result our little one has had a sleeping schedule that was a little uncharacteristic. Now that we’re in a schedule that is healthier for our family, we’ve had struggles with adjusting our sleep schedule. It’s tiring. We’ve tried lots of thing and really it just comes down to one thing. We need God’s help. So that was my prayer this morning before my quiet time. “God, please help us, because it’s not working and we need our family to thrive.” I then turned to my reading for the day (I’m doing a study along with our church). Literally what I read next was an answer beyond what I could imagine or expect. “Forget the former things. I’m doing something new.” God is near to us, sweet mom. Cry out to Him. Make your requests known to Him. Seek Him first. Open up His Word and read. You may find that He has something to say to your heart just when you need it most. ❤️
Instagram post 1969220350751785292_176681624 Today is the day! I’ve been waiting for this day since early December. 🎉🎉 Today I finally broke into my PowerSheets for 2019. 🤩 #powersheetsprepweek
Am I behind? Most would say yes and they’re absolutely wrong. There is no magic in January 1. The last few months have been a roller coaster ride for my husband and our family. We’ve moved and now are renovating our home. We’re in a different city and there’s lots of new going on for each of us. During this time, I started to feel overwhelmed. It’s been a while since I’ve felt this way and there was purpose in it all along. Before picking up my PowerSheets today, I’ve spent a considerable amount of time investing in the best way to accomplish my goals in life. What’s the best way? You can read more about it up on the blog. {link in profile} #goalsinlife
